CHAMAN: Security forces claimed to have foiled a major terrorist attack in Chaman and arrested five suspected terrorists, besides recovering a huge cache of weapons from their possession.
On a tip-off, the Frontier Constabulary personnel accompanied by police and intelligence agencies conducted raids at three hideouts in Chaman on Wednesday and seized a car full of weapons and explosives.
Besides arresting the five suspects, the security personnel also recovered 11 hand grenades, two Kalashnikovs, two pistols and three bags containing explosives.
DPO Asad Khan claimed that the terrorists hailed from the Kunar area of Afghan and they were hatching a plan to carry out saboteur act.
The unidentified suspects were shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
