ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar Friday encouraged business community to fully utilise the incentives given by the government for promotion of business and exports through value
addition.
During a meeting with a delegation of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA), the minister said the government had provided broad incentives in the current budget and in the Strategic Trade Policy Framework (STPF) to enable
exporters gauge world trends and become competitive accordingly.
He said export-led growth was a major priority of the government and every possible measure was being taken to enhance capacity of exporters including encouraging import of modern
machinery.
The minister said further discussions for promoting export sector would be held to formulate recommendations at the earliest for consideration of the prime minister.
The APTMA delegation comprising exporters and representatives from leather and rice sectors, appreciated the incentives offered by the government in export sector.
