KARACHI: Karachi District Council here on Monday passed a resolution unanimously against the founder of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), declaring him ‘state enemy and traitor’ for his recent anti-Pakistan remarks.
The district council met with its Chairman Salman Murad in chair and participated by more than 40 members including opposition members. The resolution tabled by a Pakistan People’s Party member Mir Abbas Talpur asked the Pakistan Muslim League N-led federal government to register a treason case against the MQM founder and declare him a ‘traitor’.
